Description

Good day people! Here is my latest submission from a company sponsored photo shoot I was asked to attend. My company (Metropolitan Water District of Southern California) built this lake in Riverside County and needed new photos for our archives! The lake is called Diamond Valley Lake and serves as San Diego's main source of water. This manmade reservoir contains about 800,000 acre-feet of water, or about 260 billion gallons of water. Its deepest point is 260 feet deep and the perimeter is over 26 miles long. This is one of a series I'll be posting here for the Diamond Valley Lake Wildflower theme! Enjoy!

Best Regards,
Tommyguns

Love all three zones, the great details in the foreground, the lake, and the great sky. Looks almost like a painting. Wonderful photo!

Not bad. It's a pretty vanilla landscape shot though. Typically, for me to truly enjoy a photo I need to find at least one part that really sticks out and grabs my attention. The execution of this shot is great, but for me it's missing that element.

A boat in the lake would be that extra item maybe! :)

Nice HDR and peaceful composition.

No moon? ;)

Very nice work Tommy. Your HDR treatment is wonderful. I'd like to see a wider band of those flowers in the foreground and perhaps a shift of the entire scene to the right. Perhaps off-centering the lake a bit and having some of the background peninsula moving further into the image would provide more left/right/interest to the composition.

But ... I enjoy it as is!

I think you met your company's goals well. If I had a hand in building this lake, I would use this to show it off too. (thumbup)

Nicely done HDR. I could also use more contrast and colour in the sky. The view is awesome.
